Inspections

Electrical installations must be and remain safe. Not only because the law requires it, but also to protect your employees and prevent damage to your business. Regular inspection makes risks visible before they lead to faults or unsafe situations. Reijnhout Elektro arranges the complete inspection process for you, from planning the inspection to repairing any defects found.

Why inspections matter

Dutch working conditions legislation (the Arbowet) sets requirements for the safety of electrical installations. Employees must be able to work without danger. Many insurers also state in their policy conditions that these requirements must be met. If an incident occurs, the insurer will always check whether the installation was inspected. A periodic inspection can prevent a great deal of damage and cost.

How an inspection works

We start with an inventory of the electrical installations together with you. We then arrange the inspection. An inspection consists of a visual examination, measurements and testing. For existing installations, the NEN 3140 inspection applies, and for new installations NEN 1010. For heating and gas installations, SCIOS safety inspections apply, mandatory every five years.

The results are summarised in a report. If the report identifies defects, we carry out the repairs and supply a repair report with evidence of the work done. That way, after the inspection you have not only a report but also the assurance that the problems found have been resolved.
