1978: Foundation
In 1978, Jan and Riet Reijnhout start their private company, Reijnhout B.V. at 74 Hugo de Grootstraat 47 in the village of Kruiningen, thereby laying the foundations for today’s Reijnhout Elektro B.V. They serve their first customers from the small shed behind the family home.
1984: Relocation
In 1984, Jan en Riet take over De Klerk Elektrotechniek in Hansweert, and the company moves to 1 Nieuwstraat in that same village. Jan and Riet continue the business from here, which also includes a shop for white and brown goods.
2004: New building
In 2004, a new company building is opened at 1 Tramperweg, Hansweert, with offices, a workshop, as well as a warehouse.
Recently, the premises have been renovated and modernized. At the same time, the production facility has been expanded and equipped with an overhead crane.
2009: Second generation
In 2009, the family business is handed over to the second generation: Tim Reijnhout takes over the helm from his parents.
Jan and Riet step back a notch from the day-to-day operations to enjoy their well-earned free time.
2018: 40th anniversary
In 2018, the company’s 40th anniversary is celebrated with employees, former employees, and business partners. It is a wonderful celebration and a milestone, unfortunately marked however by the serious illness of founder Jan Reijnhout. Jan passes away in March 2019.
2019: Expansion of the company premises
Shortly after the 40th anniversary, preparations for enlarging the workshop are begun. Following this an internal renovation takes place, resulting in an office that is entirely up to date, allowing all personnel to work in a comfortable environment.
2020: Acquisition of ETIB Roerade
After having carried out several projects collectively, Reijnhout Elektro B.V. is offered the opportunity to take over Ridderkerk-based ETIB Roerade. The takeover and relocation process is swift and successful. To this day, the added value of this move is noticeable in several areas. A true asset!
2024: Here and now
Being a 46-year-old company, Reijnhout Elektro B.V. is strategically mature and, thanks to our employees, clients and suppliers, a stable organization, facing the future with confidence.
